Examine titles ranging in complexity to determine status of title or establish chain of title;
Abstract and analyze deeds, deeds of trust/mortgages, easements, judgments, tax assessments, mineral reservations, and other applicable instruments;
Verify vesting and encumbrances to title;
Determine securities deeds, liens, encumbrances and circumstances that affect title to real property;
Prepare writeups and title reports online;
Review typed reports and addendums for accuracy and forwarding to Legal Staff & Support Staff
Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, highly productive manner;
Knowledge of local filing requirements, recording fees, and abstracting procedures;
Knowledge of surveys and plotting metes and bounds;
Familiarity with all procedures performed in commitment production including abstracts, examinations, document retrieval, surveys, plat maps, tax data, etc.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Access to both a computer and fax machine and work with them proficiently
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail oriented to accurately complete examinations to our standards.
Possess profesional and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
